This production line is mainly used to make popular snacks like Kurkure. The main ingredients include corn grits, rice grits, and gram grits.
Extruded snacks are made by cooking and pressing the ingredients, then pushing them through a special mould (called a die) that gives them their unique shapes. After that, they are either baked or fried, and then flavored with oil and seasonings.
Today, you’ll find many corn-based snacks in the market that have different and fun shapes. The taste depends on the flavoring added after baking or frying.
